FASHIONISTA CHLOE TV: JAN BOELO FASHIONSHOW

ENG: During Mercedes Benz Fashion week Amsterdam I attended the Jan Boelo show. I teamed up with shoe brand Bullboxer to make a special video report for FashionistaChloeTV about this show. After some drinks, bites and checking the models backstage it was time for the show. Jan Boelo choose for a different setting, slow music instead of rock and dark more body covering items instead of metallic bare skinned items. After the show I interviewed DJ and huge fan of Jan Boelo, Sunnery James, Dutch actor Jim Bakkum (he told me about his limited edition Bullboxer shoes) and presenter Sebastiaan Labrie. I also spoke with designer Jan Boelo, who told me everything about the new collection, his love for the new show setting and about his muse Valentijn de Hingh. Are you curious? NL: Tijdens Mercedes Benz Fashionweek Amsterdam was ik aanwezig om als reporter voor Bullboxer verslag te doen van de Jan Boelo show. Na wat lekkere drankjes, hapjes en een kijkje backstage achter de schermen was het tijd voor de show. Jan Boelo koos voor een andere setting; langzame muziek in plaats van rock muziek en donkere lichaam bedekende items in plaats metallic minder bedekende items.  In deze aflevering van FashionistaChloe TV interviews met dj en grote fan van Jan Boelo, Sunnery James, acteur Jim Bakkum (hij vertelde mij over zijn limited edition Bullboxer schoenen) en Sebastiaan Labrie (GTST). Daarnaast vertelt Jan Boelo meer over zijn nieuwe collective, zijn liefde voor de nieuwe show setting en over zijn muse model Valentijn de Hingh. Ben je benieuwd? OUTFITPOST: THROWBACK THURSDAY

ENG: I took these pictures together with photographer Daisy van Knotsenburg during Amsterdam fashionweek in front of The Student Hotel. It seems to be a while ago, because I am so busy lately. Amsterdam fashionweek was two weeks ago and Milan fashionweek is already around the corner. Today I was quite busy with all kind of things and I finally found some time to unpack my bags from Copenhagen. I know, it sounds lazy, but I am more into packing my bags. Anyway, in this outfitpost I am wearing a flower Boohoo skort which I really like. Below I will give you some suggestions to shop your own skort. Boohoo Collection sells many skorts for less many and you definitely have to check it. I combined my skort with a see through top and cut-out ankle boots. So enough Throwback Thursday for now, how are you doing? I keep you posted!

NL: Ik maakte deze outfit foto's bij The Student Hotel samen met fotografe Daisy van Knotsenburg tijdens Amsterdam fashionweek. Het lijkt alweer een lange tijd gelenden, dit komt vooral omdat ik de laatste tijd zo druk ben geweest. Amsterdam fashionweek is alwaar twee weken en Milaan fashionweek komt er alweer aan. Vandaag was ik vooral druk met mailtjes, dingen regelen en had ik eindelijk tijd om mijn koffer uit te pakken. Ja ik weet het, het klinkt lui, maar soms heb ik geen zin om die koffer uit te pakken (ik hou toch echt meer van inpakken). Anyway, in deze post draag ik een bloemen skort van Boohoo, die ik echt te gek vind. Hier onder geef ik wat suggesties om jouw eigen skort te shoppen. Boohoo Collection heeft echt super leuke skorts voor leuke prijsjes dus het is zeker de moeite om een kijkje te nemen op de webshop. Ik combineerde de skort met een visnet top en mijn cut-out laarsjes van Sacha. Genoeg Throuwback Thursday, terug naar jullie. Hoe is jullie week tot nu toe? Ik hou jullie op de hoogte!

OUTFITPOST: AMSTERDAM FASHIONWEEK

ENG: Hello lovelies, how are you? Amsterdam Fashionweek is a wrap and I am already looking forward to my next adventure Copenhagen Fashionweek. But first I want to show you more of Amsterdam Fashionweek. Yesterday I went to the fashion tradefair Modefabriek and attended some shows at Westergasfabriek. At the Modefabriek I attended the Talking Tables discussion about Fashion & Retail which was very interesting. More about that very soon here on my blog. Now more about today's outfitpost which I wore to the Ready to Fish show two days ago. To be honest, I really love fluttering top. I have to hurry now. I have to check out in The Student Hotel, have some appointments here in Amsterdam and have to get back in Nijmegen at 4PM. So hurry hurry! But I make a promise, tonight I will post more fashionweek news on my blog. So stay tuned!

NL: Hallo lieverds, hoe gaat het? Amsterdam Fashionweek is afgelopen en ik kijk alweer uit naar mijn volgende avontuur, Kopenhagen Fashionweek. Eerst wil ik meer vertellen en laten zien over Amsterdam Fashionweek. Gister ben ik naar de Modefabriek geweest waar ik de "Talking Tables" over mode en retail bijwoonde. Deze discussie gevoerd door onder andere designer Hans Ubbink en Volkskrant journalist Bregje Lampe was echt super interessant. Meer hierover op mijn blog deze week. Anyway, deze outfit droeg ik twee dagen geleden naar de show van Ready to Fish. Wat ik zo leuk  vind aan deze outfit? De fladderende gele top (musthave voor zomer 2014). Ik moet echt gaan haasten. Ik moet nog uitchecken, mails afmaken, heb nog wat afspraken hier in Amsterdam en moet om 4 uur weer terug in Nijmegen zijn. Opschieten, opschieten dus! Maar.. ik beloof vanavond komt er meer fashionweek nieuws online op mijn blog. Dus hou mijn blog zeker in de gaten!

OUTFIT/DIARY: AMSTERDAM FASHION WEEK OPENING

NL: De opening avond van Amsterdam Fashionweek zit er al weer op. Ondanks dat het weer een beetje tegen viel was het wederom een groot succes. Deze openingseditie was afgeladen vol waardoor de Gashouder tot de nok toe gevuld was met mensen. Bij de commerciële collectie van designer duo Spijkers & Spijker ook wel SIS by Spijker& Spijkers (ph: 3-5) waren de pofmouwen volop aanwezig. De collectie werd geïnspireerd door de jonge Brigitte Bardot. Na de eerste show was het tijd voor designer Mary-Me Jimmy Paul. Wat een hilarisch succes was dat! Veel kleur, coole muziek en geweldige modellen. Van deze show heb ik echt genoten. Ik vind het belangrijk dat mensen mode ook zien als plezier en bij veel shows hoor je vaak geluiden dat het te commercieel is of te conceptueel. Er is altijd wel wat! Mary-Me Jimmy Paul liet duidelijk zien dat fashion ook gewoon FUN kan zijn! En dat snapte het publiek als geen ander en deze designer kreeg daarom ook een staande ovatie!

ENG: Yesterday evening I attended the Amsterdam Fashionweek openingshows at Gashouder Amsterdam.  Designer duo Spijkers & Spijkers and designer Mary-Me Jimmy Paul showed their new collection.  In this photo diary I give you an impression of the evening (including some snapshots after the shows and ofcourse pictures of what I was wearing yesterday). Yesterday was my first day at The Amsterdam Fashion Week. I could not attend the first two days because I was in Antwerpen for a city trip. During my first day I saw four totally different shows, started with  FredFarrow&BrittAvelonTan, Frans Molenaar (winner of 2010), who is now co-operating with Britt Avelon Tan. Which was followed by artistic Bas Kosters,  the wearable collection of SIS by Spijkers and Spijkers and upcoming Paris Fashionweek participant Jan Boelo.  I enjoyed all shows, but was most suprised by the collection of Fred Farrow & Britt Avelon Tan. The Bas Kosters show was a spectacle as every year and it was a honor to attend the show of Jan Boelo. 

Events like yesterday are covered by a lot of a people (bloggers/the Twitter crowd/photographers) and you can even watch live streams on internet. Therefore I chose for a detail post of the four shows from Friday. Looking forward to your comments and tell me if you also going or went to Amsterdam fashionweek.
