♥ BEST DESIGNER OF THE MERCEDES BENZ FASHIONWEEK BERLIN IS... HIEN LE ♥
The fashion show by designer Hien Le took place saturday 2:30 PM during the Berlin Fashion week. I had never heard of this designer before, but after some research on google, I discovered that Hien Le is a new designer in Berlin. After three salons shows, he decided that for the Berlin Mercedes Benz fashionweek to present his collection on a catwalkshow.
It was very crowded , even all the pitches were occupided. So I was very curious and not dissapointed as the show was really wonderful. The collection was basic in tone with no prints, but the choice of fabric was exceptional. For example he used silk and cotton.
For this collection Hien Le was inspired by his grandparents from Laos in the early seventies and he was very interrested in the style from that specific period. He tried to assimilate the traditional clothing of that period in Laos into a ready to wear collection SS2012 by Hien Le.
Hien Le was invited to present his collection during the show of The Modefabriek (RAI Amsterdam), but unfortunately at the moment he is to busy . However he will probably be there next year. Currently, the collection will only be available in Berlin, Hamburg and Switzerland. So the Netherlands will have to be patient to see the collection by Hien Le.

♥A.F VAN DE VORST AT MERCEDES BENZ BERLIN FASHIONWEEK♥
Saterday night A.F van de Vorst gave a fashionshow with streetstyle inspiration. It was really crowded and there were to many people inside. Fortunately I sat frontrow again next to Julia Bruchwitz designer of JZ- Couture in Dubai. Before the show I had a nice talk with her.
The models wore boots and flipflops and the clothes were mainly with all over stripes. The collection of this show was quite different compared to other shows during the Mercedes Benz Fashionweek. There were similarities such as long dresses and oversized clothes but the street inluence, for example the boots and fliplops made the difference.

♥GREEN AND BURGUNDY AT STEPHAN PELGER SHOW ♥
Stephan Pelger was born in Brasov, Romania, and studied at the Fashion Institute in Vienna, where his creative talent was discovered early. After finishing his studies with brilliant success, he worked for the brands Missoni, Schella Can and DI Vercallo Cashmere, before deciding to return to his home country to build his own brand: Stephan Pelger .
Last saturday he showed his new SS12 collection at the Mercedes Benz Berlin FashionWeek. I sat front row which enabled me to see every detail of the clothes. The collection was really outstanding! Stephan Pelger uses colours like green, burgundy, white and cream. The glitter stockings wore by some models during the show were maybe the coolest item!

♥ Romanian Designers inspiration at Mercedes Benz Berlin FashionWeek ♥
Alina Botea recently graduated from the Art and Design University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania. Her new collection for Spring/Summer 2012, "Flying Sunny Day", is inviting the visitor to an inspirational and idyllic garden. For the collection, the designer exclusively created digital prints inspired by dragonflies. The cuts and shapes of the pieces are produced accordingly to the silhouettes of those small creatures. Those unexpected shapes are enriched with a big variety of really feminine accessories. The fluid and vaporous quality of fabrics such as silk, tulle, taffeta and cotton allow a unique collection that combines and reflects the airy and light feeling of the summer months. The pieces range from 300 to 1000 euro.

The collection of Lena Criveanu for Spring/Summer 2012, "Moonday", is inspired by the female body itself, combining elements from traditional Romanian heritage such as shirts worn by the people from the region of Transylvania. The Fabrics are mainly silk, cotton and jersey, often combined with metal or even artificial materials such as transparent plastic.
The designer closely follows the natural line of the female body, mixing cuts from the 20s and the 90s. The shapes are based on the dawn and dewdrops or "passion" drops as the designer calls them herself. The main idea was to use the fabrics in such a way so that hand cutting rather than sewing would produce the designs. The collage of natural and artificial materials create a sense of body sculpting and body painting. Shades of iridescent gold, white, ivory and gray are the main components of her color palette.

♥ PRINTS AT FRIDA WEYER SHOW ♥
Upon graduation, Frida Weyer worked for several years in various sectors of the fashion industry before launching the label that bears her name in October 2008. Only three months later, in January 2009, she presented her debut collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin and was acclaimed as the new shooting star in the fashion sky. That same year, she won the PREMIUM Young Designers Award as well as the New Faces Award. Friday Frida Weyer presented her new SS12 collection at the BerlinFashionWeek. I was impressed by her. The collection is ready to wear, so it easy to reflect it to your daily clothes. Frida Weyer was one of the only designer who used a lot of prints in her collection. There were also sweepy dresses, like the one at the last picture. More photo's of that will be published later. Now I have to go. I am going to the flea market at Mauerpark.

♥ PHOTO REPORT : BERLIN FASHIONWEEK ♥
At the moment it is 2 AM, I just came in my room. My foot hurts and I am really tired. But you know me, before I am going to sleep, I wanted to show and tell you something about my day at Berlin FashionWeek. I have seen many shows and did a lot of nice thing. Below a photodiary of my day. Offcourse with text and explanation.
My healthy breakfast
Walking along the Spree in Berlin
The First Show: Irene Luft, a young designer from Germany. The collection mainly baised on colours. It was a nice show, but the clothes some pieces were made of synthetic materials. This fact tooks the collection a little bit down.
After the interview with designer Hein Le (The Interview will be published monday evening)
The show of Minx by Eva Lutz: It was a very good show, with a lot of inspiration. There were sweepy dresses what I also see at other
designer during the FashionWeek, but the greatest thing on the show was the ending. The lights went out and everybody thought it was over. Then the light went on and there were models on the catwalk again. They showed pieces with pink and red details and there were beautiful. I think everybody in the catwalkroom thought the same, because they applaused for each piece.
Waiting for the next show at Mercedes Benz lounge
I was impressed by Stephan Pelger, he showed a collections with leather and silk. Very normal you think but with a touch of glitter and translucency it was more feminine and sexier. Tuesday I will give you more inspiration about this show.
Fashionista Chloe in Berlin
The last designer was A.F van de Vorst. It was very crowded by fortunately a have a place front row, so I could made nice pictures :)! A.F van de Vorst showed a streetwear collection with almost no high heels. Models mainly wore cowboyboots or flipflops. Stripes return many times in the collections of A.F van de Vorst.
The end of the BerlinFashionWeek
Going out for diner at The Bird in East Berlin
OK! This is clear :-)
Diner at The Bird
