♥ BACKSTAGE HANS UBBINK SHOW SS2012 ♥

An abandoned industrial place in the North of Amsterdam on Tuesday 7PM. Exactly one hour before the start of Hans Ubbink SS2012 fashion show. although I am a little bit familiar in Amsterdam, I've never been here before .Tonight I am going backstage together with Sabrina Meyer( AfterDRK) 45 minutes before the big show of Hans Ubbink.

I'm early, so I decided to take place on a terrace. Noorderlicht restaurant is located at the water “Het Ei” . Different people lie or sit on the grass and enjoying a beautiful day with a lot of sun. This industrial place looks like East Berlin. It's pretty cool, and the food isn’t expensive!

I have to go. The SpicePR team is already waiting for me. They are very nice and kindly to me and after a small talk, Sabrina also arrived. When I am  backstage, I see models everywhere. The beautiful model Zazoe stares straight ahead, but laughs when she recognize me. Other models continued there doings, when I shoot a few photos of them.

Then it’s time to meet Hans Ubbink for the second time. Earlier at the launch of his hollidaybook, I just have a talk with him. He recognizes me immediately, and he is very kind to both of us. First Hans Ubbink told something about the new collection. 11 years ago Hans  Ubbink showed his collections for the first time, Every next year it was crazier and more different than before. He showed at Paradiso and Carré. This year he goes back to basics and he chooses a romantic collection with natural make-up. “Less is more” is one of the statements he made. " In former times my collection would be considered as old-fashioned, but now it is sexier and  feminine more then ever." Hans Ubbink used fabrics like silk, linen and Tencel.

Hans Ubbink keeps talking, he shows us every part of the new collection and I have to say every part of it is beautiful.

This year the collection has more themes. “Previous years I wanted to show too much, consumers get distracted and forget the best parts” says Hans Ubbink.
